The Councillor for Tourism, Silvia Egea Morales, was present yesterday in Madrid, at the Ninth Annual Official Delivery of Banderas Q to beaches and facilities Nautical Sports organized by the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality (ICTE).
The event, held in the auditorium of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, was chaired by the Secretary of State for Tourism, Isabel Borrego, and the president of ICTE, Miguel Mirones, accompanied by several Directors General of Tourism of different communities autonomous who wanted to support those responsible for ports and certificates sandbanks.
This year, the ICTE has certified 255 Flags Q for Quality Tourism, the quality of 236 beaches and 19 nautical sports facilities, an increase of 3% over last year, including the beaches of La Puntica and Villananitos in San Pedro del Pinatar.
The Q Tourist Quality flags on beaches are a symbol of trust that guarantees the management thereof by the municipalities responsible.
The commitment is to improving daily to ensure the enjoyment of users in terms of cleanliness, safety, security and respect for the environment.
