Workshop for Parents "Consequences of misuse of Information Technology and Communication", by Pilar Martínez Invernón, Psychologist Social Services City San Pedro del Pinatar and Marí Jorda Aura, Social Worker, allowed attendees to learn more about ICT that allow us to study, to work, to be informed, communicate with others, share experiences, etc.
and that in many cases, its use is inappropriate and addiction problems appear.
This workshop developed the common points to detect a possible addiction as using many hours ICT subtracting even sleep, stop going to class, work, hanging out with friends or playing sports for being "connected" and in cases more difficult, is produces a distancing from family and friends, leading to social isolation and only a link to the "virtual" friends of social networks, nervousness and irritability processes would remain if they can not connect, etc.
