The Department of Social Welfare organized within the scope of the Education and Health Promotion, various workshops for the prevention of gender violence conducted by the Social Education, Maria Angeles Gómez Rosique.
The workshops, designed to work in various group related to gender violence issues, were conducted in the two Joint Employment Programs and Training developed in San Pedro del Pinatar, with the aim of prevention activities targeting people teenagers, as students of PMEF "Las Salinas II" are young people under 30 and older, between 25 and 54 years.
The workshops were analyzed some of the most frequently asked questions as why the abuse occurs, how do you know that there is abuse in a couple, are always the men who mistreat women or, also, there are women who abuse their partners , do I have to do if I suffer gender violence or suffers a known person, etc.
The fundamental objectives of the workshop are aware of the importance of education in equality, promoting the construction of a non-sexist and non-violent individual identity, favor the acquisition of skills to deal with situations of abuse and foster equal relations and solidarity with victims of gender violence.
