The coastal hamlet held on Friday, July 15, the traditional offering of fruits and flowers in honor of the Virgen del Carmen, in a procession in which participated dozens of faithful.
The events in honor of the Virgen del Carmen, patron saint of the town, held throughout the week, included last Friday, July 15, the offering of fruits and flowers in Lo Pagan, who came from the residence MM Franciscanas to the church Our Lady
from Carmen.
Hundreds of faithful participated in the procession, many dressed fishermen and huertanos, while the rock El Caldero enlivened the journey with regional dances and for the first time this year starred in the church, before the image of the Virgen del Carmen.
Also they participated in the procession the mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez, representatives of the Fishermen's Association, the reigns of the elderly, children, and youth, and members of the Municipal Corporation.
San Pedro del Pinatar experienced yesterday one of his great days with several events in honor of the Virgen del Carmen, a day that ended at dawn with the procession of the image of the Virgin from the church of Our Lady of Carmen, in Lo Pagán, from where he left around midnight, to the church of St. Peter the Apostle, a place that houses all year and where he arrived around 02:00 hours.
