The Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities, Violante Thomas, the mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez, and the director general of Women, Alicia Barquero, today visited summer schools in the municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar, cofinanced by the Autonomous community within the framework of the regional strategy of reconciliation and responsibility.
More than 200 families will benefit from this municipality until September, these summer schools that facilitate mothers to reconcile professional activity with educational and leisure needs of the children in their care.
Thomas Violante said that "reconciliation and responsibility are essential to achieve the full integration of women into the workplace and thereby, equality between women and men".
The launch of services reconciliation of work, personal and family life during the summer is, as noted by the counselor, "fundamental in municipalities with tourist character as San Pedro del Pinatar, where employment levels at this time of year it is especially high. "
This resource is part of the strategy of conciliation and responsibility carried out by the Community and this year has a prize of 406,250 euros.
This budget provides funding for settlement services in the various municipalities in the region, designed to cater to children up to 12 years, whose parents are working or participating in training activities for employment.
For its part, the mayor has detailed that this year's summer school takes place in public schools Los Pinos and Los Antolinos, from 09:00 to 14:00 and where children between 3 and 12 years perform various activities such as tutoring, crafts, sport, etc.
