The Department of Works and Community Services, in coordination with the Culture, are carrying out the renovation of the electrical installation of the municipal library of San Pedro.
Municipal warehouse operators work this week in the library, which is renewing the electrical system, which will be closed to the public until Saturday, September 17.
The departments of Community and Culture Works and Services, are undertaking the replacement of all lighting LED library plates, representing a 60% savings in electricity consumption.
This project has an estimated budget of 4,000 euros and also includes the installation of plug points on the tables so that users can connect their laptops.
The councilor of this department, Angela Gaona, explained that the City Council raises gradually change the lighting of all municipal buildings and replace it with this more sustainable technology.
This action is part of the Plan of Municipal Energy Saving approved in 2011 and includes other measures that have already been launched as the installation of astronomical clocks to optimize the ignition timing of the streetlights, reduced flow in the early hours or installing new streetlights on the main roads in the municipality.
