The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez and the Councillor for Sports, Daniel Perez, attended yesterday the opening days of 3x3 basketball courts, located in the municipal sports center.
The Department of Sports organized on Saturday, Sept. 17, a opening days in which seven teams from different parts of the Region participated, formerly triples tournament was also played.
The mayor, Visitation Martinez, explained that these works are part of the project to improve and adapt the municipal sports center and respond to the demand for basketball fans, since not had adequate for the practice of sport facilities.
He also noted that these tracks will be free and free.
The tracks, whose total investment amounts to approximately 20,000 euros, have dimensions of 15x12,5 meters each and are equipped with two single pole baskets and LED lighting.
In addition, works for the collection of water from the facade of the municipal swimming pool included to prevent flooding this area and preinstallation for the future expansion of this area with a basketball court minibasket.
The mayor recalled that in the last year there have been numerous works of improvement of municipal sports such as building a beach volleyball court, remodeling of the tennis court and the adequacy inside the municipal hall, among other actions.
