The City Council, the hand of the Association of Families of children with cancer in the region, AFACMUR participates in this global campaign to raise awareness of childhood cancer.

The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez, vice president of AFACMUR, Mariano Fernandez, have discovered a big bow gold in the side facade of the City of San Pedro del Pinatar, in the framework of the international campaign "Light of Hope ! Turn it Gold! ", which places the month of September as awareness of childhood cancer.

This campaign aims to bring the gold through large loops and exterior lighting, different buildings, institutions and monuments to visualize this disease in Spain is the segund acausa death in childhood and adolescence.
