The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez, the Councillor for Sports, Daniel Perez and the president of the Athletics Federation of Murcia, Juan Manuel Molina, presented on Monday the extension of the sports ground and the new track cross that will house this space.
The mayor explained that the sports floor will expand by 74%, exceeding los65.000 meters dedicated to sports, a space that will allow the growth of sports with new facilities, the first of which is a cross track that will answer the lack of adequate for athletics in the village infrastructure.
Thus, the 37.310 square meters built an area of ​​27,724 meters where this circuit intended for running enthusiasts will be located is added.
The same, it designed with the coordination of the Department of Sports, Athletics Federation of Murcia and athletic club July 30, 40, with more than 200 members in the town, has two sections;
a path on level one kilometer and an additional 500 meters will include unevenness and irregularities in the ground to expand its difficulty, 1,500 meters which will add another 500 in a green area adjacent to hold national tests.
It is currently undertaking the first phase of the circuit, which will be the layout of it and cleaning and fencing the environment.
With this action, the circuit will be available for use before the end of the year, said the mayor.
For his part, Juan Manuel Molina stressed the importance of this new facility for sports, with a circuit aimed at both the competition and to those people who enjoy running and the school sport.
Similarly, he recalled that San Pedro del Pinatar is already a reference in the celebration and organization of events related to the running, a calendar that will improve and expand with the new circuit.
This action is part of the improvement plan and remodeling of the sports center, which in recent years has included the adequacy of the outdoor pool, creating a children's play area, new sports courts, basketball 3x3, beach volleyball and the area playing and training, recently opened, multipinatarius, among other actions.
