The Association of Families and Persons with Mental Illness del Mar Menor (AFEM) has organized a talk with the athlete pinatarense within the framework of the activities of the Mental Health Day.
The House of Culture has welcomed this afternoon's presentation "Running after a dream" by the pinatarense athlete Lorenzo Albaladejo, paralímipo athlete high-level achievement degree in the London Games 2012, won medal in the last European and record of Spain in 100, 200 and 400 meters in its category T38.
During the talk, organized by AFEM connection with the activities of the World Mental Health Day, Lorenzo Albaladejo has analyzed the importance of teamwork, both in sport as a general level, based on four basic premises to achieve any goal: analyze the situation of the one part, set specific goals, develop an action plan and analyze the results.
The athlete has stressed the importance of knowing how to optimize and manage resources and specific qualities of each person, working to learn and not only valuing a particular purpose.
"We must pursue to be better than we are and see that it makes more sense the way that success," he said.
Lorenzo Albaladejo has moved its experience in the field of sport elite disability, spaces where necessary teamwork and asking for help to enhance individual skills.
In this regard, he has advocated working together both people affected, such as associations, politicians and institutions to highlight and raise awareness of disability, showing that "we all have limitations and strengths that we should not hide."
"The first is to change the view of oneself, avoid looking with inferiority to demand that others will look at you to you," added Albaladejo.
Around 70 people attended this presentation, which was also attended by the Councillor for Sports, Daniel Perez, general director of the Disabled and Elderly of the Autonomous Community, Ana Guijarro and the president of AFEM, Juana Maria Rosemary.
