The author gave anecdotes, stories and traditions of the history of the towns of the Region of Murcia and, especially, the town of Pinatar.
The Barón de Benifayó Municipal Museum of San Pedro del Pinatar hosted last night the presentation of the book "History of the places" of Manuel Muñoz Zielinski attended by Councilwoman of Councilor Education and Training, Guadalupe García, commissioned with the president of the Association Friends of the Museums, José Lorente, to welcome and introduce the author ..
In "History of Places, Huerta y campo de Murcia, 1700-1800", Zielinski, PhD in French Philology, Semiotics, Audiovisual Communication and photographer, has invested 6 years of research in forgotten and difficult to understand files.
An ample and entertaining volume where it reveals the routines, restlessness, dreams and fears of the people who lived of the old councils, now known like districts.
Manuel Muñoz Zielinski complains of the little attachment that has Murcia in the recovery and knowledge of history, in order not to lose our roots, is born this book that has chapters dedicated to San Pedro del Pinatar and Mar Menor.
Thus, the author told the numerous public how the people of the city came to "summer" the Mar Menor, (there is evidence of the first rents of houses and inns) attracted by the gastronomy, the climate and with the belief that the sea Healed some diseases and made the women more fertile.
Zielinski commented on the appreciation of local fish and salted fish in the town, arguing pirate battles on the coast of Pinatar and other interesting, documented anecdotes on which his book is based.
