Aidemar Association today commemorated the International Day of Disability with various activities such as dance performance, choir and reading the manifesto.
A group of 40 people from Aidemar, accompanied by monitors, teachers and family members, today commemorated the International Day of Disability, which is celebrated tomorrow, 3 December.
Throughout the morning, they have exhibited their work in panels where they have been able to observe the different activities that take place in the Day Center of San Pedro del Pinatar, in addition to putting on sale the beneficial calendar for the year 2017.
Around 11:00 am, accompanied by the mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez, and members of the Local Government Team, one of the users of the center has read the manifesto for the International Day of Disability.
Later, the mayor has praised the work for the integration that is made from AIDEMAR and has emphasized the importance of promoting policies and practices for an inclusive and sustainable way from the various public administrations.
He also pointed out that in order to develop these actions, it is necessary to know the challenges faced by people with disabilities on a daily basis, in order to work hand in hand to eliminate barriers and favor participation in their environment in full equality of conditions.
The event has continued with the performance of the choir and dance group of Aidemar and the day has ended with a chocolate for the participants.
