Christmas arrived in San Pedro del Pinatar on the night of December 5, with the opening of the Municipal Belén and the lighting of Christmas lights, in an event enlivened by the band Unión Musical.
The event began with the lighting of the Christmas lights in the city center and main avenues of the town, formed by the mayor, Visitation Martinez, members of the Municipal Corporation, representatives of associations and groups and neighbors.
Later, the parish priest of the church of San Pedro Apóstol, Roberto Burgos, made a prayer in front of the scene of "El Nacimiento" and a tour of the Belén, installed in the Plaza de la Constitución, guided by the manager of Belenes Horadada, a company Which has been in charge for years of the installation of the Bethlehem Municipal, which currently has dimensions of six meters wide by 18 in length and which recreate various biblical passages and the birth of Christ, scenes customs of pastors and peasants and Allegories to buildings in the area.
Finally, the band Unión Musical performed several villancicos in front of the municipal nativity, installed in the place of the Constitution, and that will be able to visit until 6 of January, Day of Kings.
