The students have worked in this activity the development of psychomotricipdad, cognition and autonomy, realizing various decorative objects that have been sold later to self-finance the kitchen and math workshops, as well as visits and excursions.
The Mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, together with the Councilor for Education, Guadalupe García, today visited the Christmas market of the open classroom of the IES Manuel Tárraga Escribano, in which students have sold original and eye-catching Christmas decorations made by themselves.
Through this activity, students in the open classroom have worked on aspects that develop psychomotricity, cognition and autonomy by creating creations searched on the internet for themselves, buying in different stores the necessary materials, collected others by different places, thus working the Social relationships, to finally realize the Christmas details, that they have marketed today, where they have practiced with the handling of the money in the sale of the same ones.
The money raised will be used to finance the activities of the kitchen workshop and math workshop in the open classroom, as well as the outings to the environment to carry out projects proposed for this school year.
Open Classrooms are intended for students with special and serious special educational needs who require extensive and widespread support in all areas of the curriculum.
Its purpose is to offer severely affected students the specialized services they need in a more standardized environment in order to maximize integration and their participation in the general dynamics of the center by sharing subjects (Music, Physical Education and Religion) and different activities with their group of students.
