The Town Hall of San Pedro del Pinatar has approved the regulatory bases for the granting of subsidies to non-profit sports associations and individual athletes, who will opt for them in competitive competition.

The sports associations of Pinatar and federated athletes will be able to choose, from this year, municipal subsidies for the development of programs and activities that complement those of the Department of Sports, or that collaborate with the same in the development of schools, Sports school championships, etc.

Councilor for Sports, Daniel Pérez, explained that these new bases support the exponential growth of the sporting associative fabric, adapting the granting of subsidies to the ordinance since 2007, with a clear and objective báramos.

The total amount of these grants for 2017 will be 107,500 euros and will be used for federation activities of associations, sports schools, as well as tournaments and championships and ten individual athletes of San Pedro del Piantar.

Through these subsidies, the expenses incurred by associations and individual athletes in technical personnel, travel, accommodation and maintenance in championships, federal expenses, consumable sports equipment, verses and equipment, trophies and medals, etc. may be financed.

Daniel Pérez recalled that these subsidies are in addition to the improvement of facilities and services for sports associations, such as those made in Lo Pagan football field, with the complete repair of luminaires, stands and paint ;

Among others, the council has indicated that in recent months has been a new beach volleyball court, two new 3x3 basketball courts, the minipinatarius training area or the cross-country track.
