The institutes Manuel Tárraga Escribano and Dos Mares, in collaboration with the City Council, have today scheduled dozens of activities to celebrate the day of its patron.
On the occasion of the feast of St. Thomas Aquinas, the mayoress, Visitation Martinez, and the councilors of Education, Guadalupe Garcia;
Police, Civil Protection and Emergencies, Ángela Gaona, and the Councilor for Youth, Javier Castejón, have attended the events programmed by the local institutes.
The IES Manuel Tárraga Escribano has made dozens of activities like a chocolate with churros, rock climbing and tirolina in the central patio, soccer tournaments, volleyball, basketball or ping pong;
Glazing construction workshops, mathematical sewing, "doctor's office", "discover your vocation", identification of aromas, origami or interactive pinnacles.
Other activities have also included a literary yincana, the exhibition "Young artists" and virtual games.
In addition, at 12:00 pm a tribute was paid to the physical education teacher José Molino, recently deceased, and a plaque with his name was imposed in the gym of the center.
The City Council has collaborated with the coordination of the laughter therapy workshops, by a monitor entitled;
Of games of table, through the association Wargames and with the concert of the students of the classroom of modern music, that has closed the activities.
In addition, First Aid workshops have been conducted by staff and volunteers of Civil Protection, and the Local Police has held workshops on personal defense, dog show, exhibition of vehicles, material and personal equipment, and an informative talk.
The IES Dos Mares has also started the day with a chocolate with churros and has made a fun cinematic yincana in which students have participated in disguise and have had to overcome tests related to the different departments of the center, in addition to workshops of rags, Chess, coordinated also by the association Wargames, and robotics.
The center has made different championships in sports like badminton, baseball and volleyball and in the gym, the activities have ended with a workshop of Hip Hop.
On the other hand, the auditorium has hosted a musical gala, in which students have learned the artistic skills of teachers and has concluded with the performance of the choir of the center.
