The educational centers of San Pedro del Pinatar have carried out various solidarity actions throughout the week to benefit associations such as Red Cross, Love for Love, Save of Children and Gambia.
On the occasion of Peace Day the schools of San Pedro del Pinatar have developed various activities with the aim of transmitting values ​​among schoolchildren such as tolerance, solidarity and respect for others.
In addition, schools have collaborated with NGOs that work to mitigate inequalities from different areas such as actions with children, food distribution, etc.
Thus, New Castelar College celebrated a charity race yesterday, in which children from all educational levels participated, earmarking the registration of three euros to the association Siente Gambia, which develops different projects in the African country, among which stand out a Sewing workshop, provision of educational material, health, etc.
For its part, the Los Pinos school joined the initiative of Save the Children "Miles of Solidarity", celebrating a race to bring to school children the situation of vulnerability of children in impoverished countries of the African continent.
In order to collaborate with this cause, the students made a contribution of one euro destined to this entity dedicated to the promotion and defense of the rights of the children.
In Maspalomas was held the third day of Zumba for Peace, with the collaboration of the sports center Pinatar Arena.
The children who participated in this activity contributed as a registration a kilo of non-perishable foods that have been donated to the Red Cross association dedicated, among other tasks, to the distribution of food among people with fewer resources.
In the school Los Antolinos also developed a beneficial day of zumba.
The school Villa Alegría celebrated a solidarity march with which they finished the work carried out during weeks by the center spreading the peace from the closest area, starting from values ​​like the respect, the companionship, the friendship or the team work.
The march, which has involved students of all ages and parents, has gone from school to the Center for Leisure and Emerging Arts and have donated food for the local association Amor Por Amor, which develops its work in the municipality with The distribution of food and other products of need among vulnerable groups.
