The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar held a meeting with members of local associations to address the use of this space and elect representatives to the City Council.
The old Youth House, located on Avenida del Taibilla and currently in disuse, will host in the next few months a hotel of associations, a center dedicated to housing the multiple groups that make up the diverse local associative fabric, which brings to the locality Projects and activities of transversal nature, in areas as diverse as culture, education, socio-environmental projects, etc.
To this end, painting, masonry, electricity, gardening, etc. have been carried out.
In addition, the building has been equipped with new furniture to meet the needs of associations.
During a meeting with representatives of the different associations, the mayor emphasized the importance of this new center to give visibility and offer a space to those groups that contribute activities and dynamism to the municipality.
In addition, a participatory process will be carried out for the elaboration of the regulation of use of this Hotel of Associations.
In a first phase, a draft will be taken to the City Social Council next February 14, along with a questionnaire that will be sent to the 180 associations registered in the local registry.
This questionnaire will also be uploaded to the municipal website until February 20 so that all associations can make contributions, which will produce a final document that will be raised to the March plenary.
On the other hand, they voted for their two representatives in the Social Council of Ciudad, participatory organ in which they concur with unions, neighborhood representatives, merchants, businessmen, elders, political groups, etc.
And discusses aspects of municipal relevance such as urban planning, criteria of municipal budgets, action programs, projects and investments, etc.
In the afternoon of yesterday, the associations voted to their two representatives in the City Council of City, being chosen by majority Hilario Tárraga in representation of the Spanish Association Against the Cancer (AECC), with Concepción Hernández like substitute, and Jenaro Cortés by Cross Roja, being substitute Jose Miguel Hernandez, of the same association.
