On January 14, 2013, the General Assembly formally approved UNESCO's proclamation of World Radio Day.
At its 67th Session, the UN General Assembly adopted the resolution adopted at the 36th session of the General Conference of UNESCO proclaimed 13 February, the day of the creation of the United Nations Radio in 1946, as the World Radio Day.
Today, Radio Pinatar has joined this celebration with a special program in which emphasizes the role of radio and the way in which it contributes to shaping the current society, extolling the figure of the collaborator and, taking advantage of the slogan of This year is "Radio is you", remember special moments that distinguish it as municipal radio with a vocation of public service, for example, school visits, social programs, interviews, etc.
In addition, three communicators of the Mar Menor region, María José Martínez Garcerán, who has worked in SER and Onda Regional among other means;
Alexia Salas, correspondent of the newspaper La Verdad and presenter and director of an evening magazine in Metrópolis FM, and Óscar Cervantes, currently on television 7 Region of Murcia and with experience in Onda Cero, among other radios, have participated in the talk moderated by the Announcer of Radio Pinatar, Juan José Buendía, on the present past and future of the radio.
A space sprinkled with anecdotes that has addressed the critical situation of the sector and how radio has always known, adapt to changes, through entertainment, information and public participation.
