A total of 25 comparsas participated in the Great Carnival parade that ended in the municipal carp, where the awards were given to the best comparsas in various categories.
The streets of San Pedro del Pinatar once again hosted the Carnival Parade, which took place at 5:00 p.m. of the parking lot adjacent to the Countess Villar de Felices park, which was followed by hundreds of people all the way to the municipal tent, where Prizes were awarded to the local musicians, visiting musicians, best school musician, Musa and Musa.
The red of the elegant Ballet Kebanna costumes opened the parade, followed by the funny clowns of the pensioner's home and the tamers and small lions of "Mamis al Poder" and the ratitas of "Los López".
Also participating in the parade were the Dragon Boat team, who went up to this particular boat dressed in oriental costumes, the members of ADAPT with a disguise about the changes of time, the comparsa "Stars Glamourous", with an original dress of butterflies and their Small caterpillars, and "As you want", that recreated the time of "The Musketeers".
"The correspondents" was one of the most numerous comrades with their trip to the 50s and "The New Wave of the Mar Menor" dazzled with the green of their feathers, which closed the local participation, followed by the "Muses calirroe", with a Striking yellow fantasy, costumes inspired by Sambala's Cinderella, and the black elegance of Samana.
The numerous comparsa Antares bet for a costume inspired by the burlesque of Antares, with its original muse bicolor, followed by the swans of the "Dance Goddesses" and the fantasy in Campanula rose.
"Replay" recreated all the characters of the Lion King, while Chumichanga bet for the heavenly feathers, "Rising Sun" wore jungle-inspired costumes and kimbara traveled to the Egypt of the pharaohs with flashy golden cloaks.
Also inspired in nature were the "Mandala" and "Tukan" comparsas, the Disney princes and princesses of "Staying Alive" delighted the little ones.

AWARDS
After the parade, the mayor of the town, Visitation Martinez, and the Councilor of Celebrations, Javier Castejón, presented in the municipal tent the prizes of the carnival in different categories, next to the members of the jury, composed by the dancer and model Coral Muñoz , Singer Salva Ortega and presenter of Radio Sureste, Azucena Sánchez.
Thus, in the category of local groups, the third prize of 200 euros was for "The Homes of the Pensioner", the second of 400 euros took "Stars Glamourous" and 600 of the first prize, "Kebanna."
"Mamis to power" was the best school competitor with 200 euros.
The "New Wave of the Mar Menor" obtained prize for its two Muses, 300 euros adult and 150, the infantile one.
The visitors also received awards from the jury, the third of 100 euros went to "Kimbara" and "Replay", the 200 euros of the second took the comparsa "Kissamba" and the first prize with 400 euros went to "Guakana" , Which also won the prize for the best children's muse, endowed with 100 euros, while "Antares" won the adult muse award, endowed with 200 euros.
This year, the Department of Festejos has allocated an economic aid of 150 euros for all the participants who with their joy and effort keep alive the illusion in this party.
