The town council of San Pedro del Pinatar today approved the assignment of a plot of 5,290 square meters to the Association for the integration of the disabled in the Mar Menor region (AIDEMAR) for the construction of a residential center.

Councilor Patrimonio, José Fernández, explained that this process culminates the procedures to cede to AIDEMAR the land, located between the streets Garza Real, Los Flamencos Avenue and Pablo Picaso Avenue, the vicinity of the Hotel Thalasia, for the construction of A residential center for people with disabilities.
Fernández recalled that it is a non-profit association and has praised the work they do in the region, and particularly in San Pedro del Pinatar, where they already have a special employment center and a day center, currently giving attention To 150 Pinatarenses through its different services and programs.
REGULATION FOR THE HOTEL OF ASSOCIATIONS
On the other hand, the plenary has approved the regulations for the use of the Hotel de Asociaciones, which will be launched in the old Casa de la Juventud, which will have 11 rooms and an auditorium to develop their activities and projects.
This regulation has been submitted to a participatory deliberative process, in which 31 local associations have contributed their assessment and opinion.
The Mayoress, Visitation Martinez, has emphasized that this center will give visibility to the great work that makes the associative Pinatarense in different areas.
INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
The plenary also approved a motion by the popular municipal group on 8 March, International Women's Day, which recognizes the decades-long work done by women to combat discrimination.
Thus, it marks International Women's Day as a date to be sensitive to the problems of women in today's Spanish society and to promote the cause of equality.
It also advocates advancing education from an early age, working to remove roles and seek equality between men and women.
In this way, the plenary has agreed to transmit this message in the institutional act of next March 8 and to urge civil society, institutions, every woman and every man to be involved in a transformation towards a society in which Equality of right of opportunity is effective.
