Joaquina Sáez, first Roman of the Year of the Roman Third "hermenegildo Fresneda Pujol"
The Roman Tercio of San Pedro del Pinatar began the Holy Week events with the appointment of "Roman of the year", which this year fell for the first time in a woman, Joaquina Sáez Cánovas.
Last Saturday, March 18, the Roman Third "Hermenegildo Fresneda Pujol" of San Pedro del Pinatar celebrated the act of naming "Roman of the Year", granting the Roman Sword, its highest distinction to Joaquina Sáez Cánovas.
The Romana of the year thanked this distinction, which for the first time is given to a woman for her collaboration and work with the Roman Third Holy Week Pinatarese.
The ceremony was also attended by Councilor for Sports, Daniel Perez, who praised the contribution of Tercio Romano to the processions of San Pedro del Pinatar, and the president of the General Cabildo of groups and brotherhoods of Holy Week, Mariano Visedo.
For his part, the president of Tercio, Matias Perez, thanked the support and predisposition of the City Council and the work that is done by the Holy Week Pinatarense from the Cabildo.
