This week has begun the participatory deliberative process for the elaboration of an ordinance of Use and enjoyment of the beaches of the municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar.

The City Council of San Pedro del Pinatar has launched this participatory deliberative process that aims to promote the rational and sustainable use of the beaches of the town and strengthen the tourist image of the coast.

Therefore, given the transversality of these matters, we have advocated a participatory process with a sectoral character for the elaboration of the ordinance for the use and enjoyment of beaches, with the participation of agents that have direct involvement, such as hotel managers and Tourist accommodation, association of beach bars, association of businessmen and merchants, together with neighborhood associations.

The City Council transferred to these agents the draft of the mentioned ordinance, in which different councils such as Tourism, Environment, Civil Protection, Police and Citizen Participation have participated.

Once they had this normative text, they were summoned to a face-to-face session with the technicians of the branch, in which they were explained the objectives of the ordinance, the contents of the same, and the legal framework at state, regional and Agents involved in the process debated the text of the draft ordinance in groups to assess whether the contents of the ordinance seemed adequate, sufficient, satisfactory, or add or delete some of the articles of the ordinance. To be discussed mainly focused on the cleaning and hygiene of bathing areas, prohibitions, sanctions, information on water quality, surveillance services, security, rescue, rescue, etc. With the questionnaires presented, the council of citizen participation Will elaborate a reasoned report of decision, including the arguments that contribute these groups and explaining if the proposals can be included in the normative text that will be approved by the Plenum of the City council in its next session. With this type of processes goes deep in transparency in the Public management and participates in the neighborhood of Pinatar to draft the ordinance of beaches that the municipality needs, adequate to their opinions and assessments.
