This solidarity initiative, which has culminated in a concert and a charity market, aims to make schoolchildren acquire basic rules for coexistence between animals and people.
The teacher of CBM Los Pinos and author of the blog "Sin tizas ya lo loco", Marina Tristán, has launched this solidarity initiative with fifth graders, which ended with a concert and a charity market in which involved schoolchildren Of the whole municipality.
The project 'Animal awareness' was born in the school as a campaign to raise awareness of pet animals in order to improve their lives in the municipality, defend their rights and, above all, make the owners aware of their duties.
The project aims to disseminate resources and information to the inhabitants of the municipality such as vaccines, collection of abandoned animals, holidays, civic standards to keep the municipality clean, adoptions, sponsorship, and so on.
Among the activities carried out during the project are campaigns to collect feed, medicines, beds, toys and monetary donations;
Concerts and charity markets, adoption billboard, talks ...
To carry out the project, the students contacted the association 'Patitas Unidas' of Los Alcázares.
In addition, the initiative has joined several schools in the town of San Pedro del Pinatar, a school in Cartagena, one in La Palma and another in Yecla, as well as several neighborhood associations in the municipality.
