The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, today informed the outcome of the participatory process for the accessibility and modernization of the urban center, which culminated in a citizen survey that took place from April 4 to 11.
The City Council, through the web portal of the City Council, proposed to the citizens two options, on which model of urban center they preferred for the project of reform of the squares and its surroundings, the commercial streets and the avenue Artero Guirao.

Option one, which has been the most voted with 66.1% of the total (994), is the union of both places, eliminating traffic between them (lateral street of the Church), although traffic access is maintained By the street Emilio Castelar and change of direction in Gabriel Cañadas street to allow the access of vehicles from Avda. In the second option, 33.9% of respondents (510 votes) chose the current division between the two places and the current distribution of pedestrian and road traffic routes.
