The program, which will be held from April 17 to 23, has as main objective to train new readers through storytelling, workshops, and theater, among other activities.
The councilor of Culture of San Pedro del Pinatar, Silvia Egea, today presented in the garden of the municipal library the schedule of the Day of the Book that includes various activities from April 17 to 23.
The activities will begin on Monday, April 17 with a children's workshop of illustration and experimental painting, by Kataryna Rogowicz, at the Center.
The smaller ones will also be able to enjoy, on April 18, the interactive storytelling Aventuras de la mano negra, by Sara Martínez, who will also hold several bookmark workshops on Wednesday, April 19th.
Directed to the general public, the assembly hall of the House of Culture will host on Tuesday, April 18, at 20:00 hours, the theatrical presentation of "Suspended Tales" by the critic Antonio Parra.
On April 19th, also at 8:00 p.m., a recital of poetry and music will be performed by Magdalena Sánchez and José Antonio Flores.
The events will continue on Thursday 20 April with a workshop of shadow theater and the subsequent representation of "Huellas", by Periferia theater, in the garden of the House of Culture, where on Friday, April 21, Also several workshops, with the encouragement of Ángel Salcedo, from The Red Tree, and from 16:30 hours will be finished a musicalized story, in which the smallest can build musical instruments with recycled materials, by Selbicursos.
On Saturday, April 22, there will be a workshop of puppets and the subsequent storytellers "Albin, the brave rabbit", in charge of Carmen Theater.
In the afternoon, the auditorium will host the play El Principito, with the company Silfo.
The activities will end on Sunday, April 23, with the performance of "Love Cervantes", the company La Cueva Meopomene in the Plaza de la Constitución, at 12:00 hours, and the awards ceremony of the fourth edition Of the "La Sal" Microrrelations Competition, at 8:00 pm in the auditorium of the Casa de la Cultura.
