The municipality will gather close to 400 athletes this weekend at the Triathlon Spanish University Championships and the ninth edition of the local event, which will take place on Saturday 29 April, in the Marina Marina de Las Salinas.
The councilor of Sports of San Pedro del Pinatar, Daniel Perez, the general director of Sports of the UCAM, Pablo Rosique, and the vice president of the sports club 30 7 40, Mar Pérez, today presented the Spanish championships of Triathlon and the IX Sprint Triathlon Marina de Las Salinas, to be held on Saturday April 29, in the vicinity of the Marina Las Salinas.
The councilman pointed out that the celebration of these tests consolidates and expands the bet of the last years by the popular careers and the promotion of athletics, as a means to promote healthy habits of life and to show the natural environment of the municipality from another perspective.
In this regard, it has indicated that the natural environment of the Regional Park of Salinas and Arenales of San Pedro del Pinatar and the beaches of the Mediterranean has been enhanced as an alternative to urban tests, such as the aforementioned Triathlon, which is its ninth edition, Night race Pinatar Full Moon, which takes place in July, and Correlimos 13.4, in October.
For his part, Pablo Rosique explained that to this test will be added this year the Triathlon university championships in the men's and women's category, which will involve more than 130 athletes from 50 universities across the country.
The women's exit will be on Saturday, April 29 at 09:30 and the men's at 12:00.
The day will be completed in the afternoon, starting at 18:00 hours, with the ninth edition of the sprint triathlon Marina de Las Salinas, which expects a participation of 250 athletes and which will consist of a course to swim of 750 meters , 21 kilometers by bicycle and 5 kilometers by foot.

On the occasion of these sports tests will be made several traffic cuts in the following roads: El Puerto road, El Puerto Avenue and Carretera zona portaria.
The scheduled cutting times will be from 9:15 a.m. to 11:15 p.m., from 11:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., and from 5:45 p.m. to 10:45 p.m.
