The Governing Board has approved this Municipal Plan which, after being submitted to a participatory deliberative process, aims to establish a framework for the social protection of families in the municipality.
The Local Government Board has approved the Family Plan for the period 2017 to 2020, a document that has been drawn up by associations, political groups and other groups involved through a participatory deliberative process.
This document is configured as an Integral Plan that is developed through specific programs and services with the objective of establishing a framework for the social protection of families, facilitating support to those in a situation of vulnerability, promoting equal opportunities for all And facilitate the development of a municipality in solidarity with families.
Thus, this Plan includes the programs that are carried out from the Center of Social Services aimed at families such as social work, care for dependency, family intervention and violence program, social inclusion, volunteerism and drug addiction.
In addition, the plan incorporates the implementation, during its period of validity, of new projects such as a parent school and a family respite service.
SUBSIDIES TO SPORTS AND SPORTS ASSOCIATIONS
The local Government Board has also approved the public call for the granting, in competitive concurrence, of grants to non-profit sports associations and individual athletes by 2017.
These subsidies are intended for the development of programs or activities that supplement or complement those developed by the Department of Sports, as well as to collaborate in the development of the competition activities of these associations and athletes.
The total amount for grants to clubs and associations amounts to 102,500 euros, while 5,000 euros are allocated to individual athletes.
GRANTS FOR TOURIST FERRY
Another of the points approved in the Board has been the call for grants of up to 10,000 euros for the realization of maritime tourist itineraries linking San Pedro del Pinatar and La Manga del Mar Menor, with departures from the Lo Pagán Pier and Puerto Tomás Master.
This initiative is located within the framework of the tourist promotion of the area, facilitating the knowledge of the attractions of the Mar Menor, also serving this crossing as a way of interrelation between these two centers of tourist attraction.
SOCIAL HELPS
Among other points, the Board has also approved the granting of financial assistance to attend to situations of need, for a total amount of 1,012.04 euros, which will benefit three residents of the town.
