The triathlon season starts in Murcia.
This Saturday, San Pedro del Pinatar will kick off the league of the Triathlon Federation of the Region of Murcia, with the dispute of the ninth edition of the trophy Marina de las Salinas, which will also be the Regional Triathlon Championship.
The test, Sprint distance, will be developed in the vicinity of the port and the Regional Park Salinas and Arenales of San Pedro del Pinatar.
Participants will have to complete 750 meters to swim, 20 kilometers of cycling and 5 of walking race.
With all the registrations exhausted, which the organization limited to 300, the season of the Murcia triathlon begins, with a total of 11 events, to which will also be joined two competitions for minors only in Cehegín (17 June) and Yecla ( 2 July) and the final of Sports in School Age, in Los Alcázares (20 May).
After San Pedro, Fuente Alamo (13) and Portman Bay (21) will follow, in May, after the cancellation of the Bahía de Mazarrón triathlon.
The month of June will bring two new features to the regional circuit, with Cieza (10) and Murcia (18) joining the XII Cartagena Triathlon (4).
In addition, on the 24th will be the traditional Triathlon Popular and Women's Villa de Alhama, which has great acceptance among athletes who want to start in triathlon, but does not score for the league.
Jumilla will celebrate his twenty-fifth triathlon in July (23), while Blanca will do it in August (5) with the sixteenth edition of his triathlon swimming through the Segura River.
The last test of the league will be in the month of October, in San Javier (1), with the celebration of Triwhite.
Coinciding with the IX Marine Triathlon of the Salinas, this same Saturday morning, the Championship of Spain University is disputed in San Pedro del Pinatar.
