In the new edition, the voting system is modified, involving the finalists themselves, who will be able to evaluate the performance of their colleagues in other categories and whose vote will represent 40% of the total.
The Mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martinez, accompanied by the Director General of Youth, Franciscos Sánchez, Councilor of Celebrations and Youth, Javier Castejón, and singer and member of the jury Salva Ortega, presented on Thursday, May 4, the Sixth edition of the Talent Contest, organized by the Department of Youth and to be held from 22 to 24 June in the municipality.
Also present were the winners of the adult musical category, "Symmetrical", and the young flamenco dancer Antonio Muñoz, winner in the junior dance category.
Visitation Martinez said that this contest, which is part of the Patron Saint's Festivities program, has been growing over the years and gaining in prestige and quality, as there are many artists who over the last years have risen to that stage, Surprising with original numbers, different and in which we have seen the great talent of young artists who have subsequently excelled in areas such as music and dance.
The youth councilor was in charge of stripping the bases of the contest in which any modality or specialty related to dance, music and entertainment in general is admitted, being able to participate either individually, in pairs or in groups of no more Of 15 members.
Thus, 12 prizes will be distributed in four categories, such as adult dance and show, dance and junior show (up to 17 years), adult musical and junior musical.
As a novelty this year the participants will have to vote the performances of their colleagues in other categories, and the final vote of the same will assume a value of 40% with respect to the final score.
For its part, the Director General of Youth praised the effort made since the consistory to be close to young people and respond to their needs, as well as to promote talent and artistic qualities.
Thus, in the category of adults and the musical modality and in the dance and show category, the prizes will be 600 €, 300 € and 150 € for the first, second and third classified of each modality.
For the Junior category the prizes will be € 400, € 200 and € 100 in the dance and show mode and the same in the musical mode.
For its part, Salva Ortega highlighted the quality of the participants in previous editions and encouraged anyone with artistic concerns to participate in this contest, which gives the possibility of acting in front of hundreds of people in a big stage.
The registration deadline is open until June 15 and those interested in showing their skills can request information at the Center of Leisure and Emerging Arts of San Pedro del Pinatar, at the email: juventud@sanpedrodelpinatar.es or through the Social networks of Youth and Celebrations.
