On June 5, the World Environment Day will be celebrated.
Under the motto "Connecting people with nature", we are called to go out into the open and to nature, to appreciate its beauty and importance and to make the call to protect the earth we share.
This year's theme invites us to think about how we are part of nature and how we intimately depend on it.
It challenges us to find fun and exciting ways to experience and appreciate this vital relationship.
The Regional Park of the Salinas and Arenales of San Pedro del Pinatar was declared as such on July 30, 1992. In addition, our municipality has 3 Places of Community Importance (LIC) and 2 Zones of Special Protection for Birds (ZEPA) .
Under these premises, the Popular Party of San Pedro will request at the next plenary session in June to expand and improve measures to protect the natural spaces of San Pedro del Pinatar, and in collaboration with the Natural Spaces Service, Ways to value our Natural Park and give it more to know.
In this way, the local PP continues working for the protection of our natural heritage while strengthening new lines of tourism that allow us to combat seasonality, as is the case of nature tourism.
