The Department of Environment of San Pedro del Pinatar today finalized the activities on the occasion of the International Day of the Environment, which started this weekend with a guided visit to the natural park Salinas and Arenales de San Pedro, under the slogan "Connected with The Nature "and realized in collaboration with the Visitor Center.
During the visit the fauna and flora of this natural area, the waste that reaches the coast and the daily actions that can avoid them, were treated.
In addition, a cloth backpack and an aluminum canteen were delivered to raise awareness of the importance of reducing plastic waste and using more sustainable packaging.
On the other hand, during 5 and 6 June, an activity called #ReciclayRespira was carried out in several schools in the locality, transferring to the students basic concepts about selective collection, making aware of the importance of recycling to have a clean environment , Reducing CO2 emissions with examples of equivalent CO2 emissions of some habitual waste and making a virtual tour to the Municipal Ecopark through a virtual reality glasses.
