The next course, the Manuel Tárraga Escribano Institute will count on the professional training program for auxiliary operations of administrative services, aimed at students with special educational needs, and IES Dos Mares will expand its offer in high school with the Arts modality.
The municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar will expand the next academic year 2017-2018 its training offer in vocational training and baccalaureate, with new modalities.
Thus, the Manuel Tárraga Escribano Institute will have the professional training program of Operations auxiliary administrative services, aimed at students with special educational needs.
These programs are intended for students between the ages of 16 and 21 who do not hold an ESO, Basic Vocational Training or other post-compulsory education and who have special educational needs with a level of personal and social autonomy to access a job.
With this new program of professional training, San Pedro del Pinatar becomes a referer in the region in the attention to students with special educational needs, since until now they had to move to Cartagena or Murcia to take these training programs.
In addition, this cycle complements the open classroom, which has the same center from the 2015-2016 academic year, aimed at students with special and serious special educational needs that require extensive and widespread support in all areas of the curriculum.
On the other hand, IES Dos Mares will complete the Bachillerato training offer for the next course with the implementation of the Arts modality, aimed at allowing students to later access to the Art, Design or Dramatic Art schools, as well as to the Conservatories of Music and Dance.
They will also be able to study vocational training in other higher-level training cycles in the professional families of Graphic Arts and Image and Sound, among others and will be able to access, through the entrance test to the university, the branches of Arts and Humanities and Social and Legal Sciences, being the most related those of Fine Arts, Music, History and Music Sciences, Performing Arts, Visual Arts and Dance, etc.
Thus, with this new addition the Pinatar students who choose this modality of high school will not have to move, because until now they had to take it in the neighboring municipality of San Javier.
