The patron saint festivities of San Pedro del Pinatar lived last night one of its most traditional acts, a large procession that gathered hundreds of neighbors dressed in the regional dress.
The offering of fruits to the patron yesterday gathered in San Pedro del Pinatar associations, brotherhoods, peñas and neighbors who wanted to honor their employer by delivering vegetables, fruits and vegetables that were donated to charities.
In the Offering, neighbors of all ages, dressed in regional dress, paraded through the streets of the municipality carrying baskets of fruits and vegetables that later offered to San Pedro Apostle in the Plaza de la Constitución.
The participants, left around 21:00 hours of the Luis Molina Square, in front of the Town Hall, crossed the urban center of the municipality until arriving at the place of the Constitution, where a scene was placed to honor and to exalt the Patron.
Associations and collectives, such as the brotherhoods of the Holy Week or the cliffs of the popular barracks, the courts of honor of the festival queens, local authorities and hundreds of neighbors formed this procession that was enlivened by the regional dances of Peña El Caldero, accompanied by the rondalla, and in charge of opening the parade and the municipal band Unión Musical that closed the procession.
After the offering, the president of the brotherhood of San Pedro, Alfonso Perez, made a petition to the patron, the parish priest, Don Roberto Burgos and the Mayor thanked the participation of the Pinatarenses in this event and invited the neighbors to continue enjoying parties.
The Brotherhood of San Pedro Apóstol, will destine the collected foods to the charitable associations of the municipality that are in charge of the distribution of foods.
