This sports day brought together more than 350 participants in the different competitions of soccer, cross, beach volleyball, paddle, basket 3x3 and soccer 7.
The San Pedro del Pinatar municipal sports center hosted last Sunday, July 2, the first edition of the Solidarity Olympiad, organized by the youth of the parish, with the objective of obtaining funds for pastoral activities.
This sports day was a success of participation, with 350 people in the different competitions and more than 600 attendees to the municipal sports center, which resulted in a collection of more than 5,000 euros to be delivered in full to the parish, which it plans to allocate These funds to develop activities with children and youth, parish works and other social actions.
From 09:00 hours simultaneous competitions were developed in the modalities of futsal, cross, beach volleyball, paddle, basket 3x3 and soccer 7, in different age categories.
At around 2:30 p.m., the Mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, the Councilor for Sports, Daniel Pérez, and the local parish priest, Roberto Burgos, presented the prizes in the different tests and the day Was closed with a meal of coexistence.
The organization of the Olympiad thanked the great reception of this first edition, as well as the collaboration shown by the local companies, since they have had more than 60 sponsors.
