The 1st Circuito Travesía to be taken by the Mar Menor will be played on September 10 in San Pedro del Pinatar, 24 of the same month in Los Alcázares and on October 15 in San Javier.
The Director General of Sports, Alonso Gómez and the Director General of the Mar Menor, Antonio Luengo, accompanied this morning the sports councilors of San Pedro del Pinatar, San Javier and Los Alcázares, Daniel Martínez, Estíbaliz Masegosa, Nicolás Ruiz who, Along with Aitor Jiménez, head of the company Endurence Sport Solutions, have presented the I Crossing to Swim by the Mar Menor.
Alonso Gómez has highlighted that this type of events help to give visibility to the Mar Menor as well as to support sport and tourism.
This first crossing to Mar Menor is a scoring test between them and although Los Alcázares and San Javier already have a competition of this type, San Pedro del Pinatar is premiering in these tests that attract a lot of athletes and fans.
For his part, Antonio Luengo has pointed out that from the Regional Government these meetings are strengthened in the Mar Menor to try to break the seasonality in months that are not of great tourist influx.
Aitor Jiménez, has been in charge of detailing the technical part of the event.
Thus, the short tests will be of 1500 meters in the three localities and 3000 meters in San Pedro del Pinatar, 5000 in San Javier, leaving from La Manga and 6000 meters in Los Alcázares with exit from Perdiguera Island.
In addition, there is an open 500 meters for children or people who want to start swimming.
The 1st Circuit Traverse to Mar Menor will be held on September 03 in San Pedro del Pinatar, October 1st in Los Alcázares and on the 15th of the same month in San Javier.
