The Police Department and Community Services of San Pedro del Pinatar have enabled two new car parks, has also improved signage and increased security measures in areas with greater influx of people.
The municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar this summer has two new parking areas, enabled by the Department of Police and Community Services, in the coastal area.
These car parks are located in Villananitos, on Calle Manila, with capacity for 95 vehicles and in Lo Pagán, Las Palmas street, on the ground soccer field, where they can park up to 120 cars.
In addition to these new parking areas, during the months of July and August the vertical and horizontal traffic signs have been reinforced in the areas closest to the coast and the main roads of the town.
Councilwoman Ángela Gaona, explained that these measures are aimed at "promoting traffic flow in the municipality, mainly in the beach areas, which are the most concentrated in vehicles."
"We have expanded parking spaces, which is one of the biggest demands of neighbors and visitors, we have also strengthened and improved traffic signaling, with the aim of avoiding traffic jams and accidents in this area," he added.
NEW SAFETY MEASURES
In addition, the Department of Community Services, in collaboration with Local Police, is installing large bollards and flowerpots at points of access to pedestrian areas of large influx such as the esplanade of Lo Pagán or squares of Spain and La Constitución, with In order to prevent access of vehicles.
