The state of the beach of La Llana is something known by all Pinatarenses and by many Murcia and that worries everyone.
Since 1957, between 40 and 80 meters of beach have been lost.
Although some actions have already been carried out over the last few years, they have not been sufficient to stop the coastline's downturn and this is a situation which, according to technical studies, will continue to be unresolved.
To the Local Government of San Pedro, we know that we are working from the Demarcation of Coasts and is in preparation a document of alternatives for regeneration of the beach of La Llana.
Of this project, some measures have already been advanced, such as the projected filling of 250,000 cubic meters of sand.
However, given the great importance of this beach and its repercussion in our beloved Regional Park, from the Popular Party of San Pedro filed a motion to the Municipal Plenary, which have supported all groups except Ganar Izquierda Unida, to request the National Government that prioritize the necessary actions to protect and preserve our beach and our park.
After the Plenary agreement, we will also request the Regional Government to intensify its efforts in this regard, as well as to continue with the work of enhancing the value of this, so as to increase its strength as a tourist attraction, as is the case with many others Natural Parks in other points of the Spanish geography.
We need unity;
of the Pinatarenses and of the Murcians.
It is necessary that there be collaboration between all the institutions on which park and beach depend.
We have to protect our heritage, our tourism and our natural environment and from the Partido Popular Pinatarense, we will continue working every day to defend these values ​​and everything important for our municipality.
