Last Saturday, September 9, the municipal sports center of San Pedro del Pinatar hosted this event, organized the local club 30 7 40, in collaboration with the Department of Sports and the Triathlon Federation of the Region.
The I Popular Triathlon of San Pedro del Pinatar counted in its first edition with 180 triathletes.
The event was held in the facilities of the Municipal Sports Center, developing swimming and walking on the premises, while the bicycle segment was developed around the sports center.
This time, it was a SuperSprint distance triathlon, in which participants had to swim 300 meters, 10 kilometers of cycling and two kilometers of foot race in the categories from junior to veterans, while for the minors performed the distances corresponding to their age.
Juan Antonio López of CT Águilas Primaflor was the first to cross the finish line, followed by Héctor Pujante, CT Arabi Yecla-Catlike, and Germán Valero of CT Águilas Primaflor.
In the female category, Ana Fernández Vélez (CT Águilas Primaflor) was the first, followed by Lidia Lozano (CT Arabi-Yecla Catlike) and María del Carmen Ferrandiz (Independiente).
