The Kayak Polo section of the club UCAM Asociación Deportiva Pinatarense participated in the four categories of the XXII Championship of Spain and last weekend the senior women's team participated in the European Championship by clubs in Germany.
The Mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez and Councilor for Sports, Daniel Perez, have received in the City Hall the players of the Kayak Polo section of the UCAM AD Pinatarense, recent runners-up by clubs of the XXII Championship of Spain of this modality, celebrated Madrid from the 16 to the 17 of September.
Visación Martínez has highlighted the gestation of this club that has managed to compete at the highest level in all its categories, as well as its effort in the promotion of base sport.
This club, a pioneer in Kayak polo at the regional level, participated in the national championship in the sub 18, sub 23, Senior Ladies and Senior Men classes, obtaining second place, only three points behind Club Alaquas (Valencia), first classified.
The boys of the sub 18 team (Nerea Sáez, Antonio Tárraga, David Martinez, David Perez, Samuel Rizo, Jose Angel Noguera, Alberto Navarro and Pablo Martinez)
(Jose Maria Ros, Francisco Bueno, Abraham Rubio, Mario López, Samuel Rizo, Ignacio Puentes and José Antonio Las).
In the Senior category, the boys (Alejandro Morata, Alejandro Sáez, Félix Martínez, Ramón Gomez, Alberto Martínez and Pedro Martínez) got a deserved 7th position.
The women's senior team (Laura Salmerón, Sonia Martinez, Laura Bueno, Maria Martinez, Beatriz Carmona, Elena Navarro, and Ana Alcaraz) rose as champions of Spain for the fourth consecutive year, arriving unbeaten in the final against the club Penedo in which succeeded in revalidating their title.
In addition to this title, last weekend, the national champions for three consecutive years, participated last weekend in the European Championship for Clubs in Essen, Germany.
A tournament attended only by the two best men's and women's clubs in each country and in which the women's team of UCAM AD Pinatarense finished in 13th place.
