The plenary of the City Council has approved the constitution of this consultative body made up of representatives of different political groups, associations, businessmen, and other agents involved in the tourism sector.
The plenary of the San Pedro del Pinatar City Council today approved the constitution and composition of the Tourism Sector Council, an advisory body in which will be present agents involved in the municipal tourism sector, political representatives and municipal technicians.
Among other functions, the Sectorial Council will address the revision of the Strategic Plan of Tourism of San Pedro del Pinatar, the deseasonalization and the increase of the quality in the tourist services.
This body has been set up according to the Citizen Participation Regulations, so that it will be composed of 26 members, some of whom have been chosen through a process of participation among members of each sector, such as hotel establishments and centers of thalassotherapy.
Representatives of the different tourism associations, the Regional Park of Salinas de San Pedro, the Nautical Station Mar Menor, the Institute of Oceanography, nautical clubs, fishermen's guild, as well as municipal political groups, among others, will also be present in this council. .
MOTION IN SUPPORT OF STATE SAFETY FORCES AND BODIES
On the other hand, the plenary has approved, with the vote in favor of all political groups, a motion to support and support the state security forces and bodies as guarantors of the rule of law.
Faced with events in Catalonia, the motion, promoted by the popular group and which have been joined by Citizens, PSOE and the non-attached councilor, manifests the support and unconditional support to the Police and Civil Guard in their work to defend and protect the rights and freedoms of all citizens and condemns the systematic harassment to which its members are being subjected through violent acts.
It also includes the condemnation of any type of coercion and persecution to which mayors and councilors from different municipalities in Catalonia are being subjected to for defending the current legality and constitutional order.
It also urges the Spanish institutions to act with the tools of the rule of law in defense of the sovereignty of the Spanish people and the general interest of Spain the Nation and against initiatives that, from illegality, seek to violate the constitutional framework and unity of Spain.
ACCESSION TO THE WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY CELEBRATION
The plenary also approved a joint motion by all groups and the non-attached councilman, by which the City Council adheres to the celebration of World Mental Health Day, on October 10, and this year takes by motto "to work without masks, to employ without barriers".
The motion also recognizes the great work in this area that develops the association AFEMAR, in the integral care of people with mental illness, and urges the Murcian Health Service to start the psychiatric module at the Los Arcos hospital.
