The City of San Pedro del Pinatar increases the amount for subsidies to associations of socio-health interest, a project that has also been added Obra Social La Caixa.
The Governing Board of San Pedro del Pinatar today approved the regulatory bases, in competitive competition, for the aid to local associations of interest and health, for a total value of 21,500 euros, of which 20,000 are contributed directly by the City and 1,500 donated by Obra Social La Caixa.
The objective is to contribute to the projects that these groups develop to help and improve the living conditions of patients with different pathologies.
The City Council of San Pedro del Pinatar called this aid for the first time last year, with a grant of 7,500 euros that were allocated to various projects of the local board of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), the Association for Integration (AIDEMAR), the Alzheimer Association Mar Menor (AMMA) and the association of patients and families of fibromyalgia, ASENFIFA.
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar recently met with these associations to inform about the novelties of the new call and to know firsthand the projects that have been developed through this line of aid.
Thus, Aidemar allocated € 2,143 to activities with its users, while the AECC allocated that amount to the project of the team of Dragon Boat Flamenco Rosa.
For its part, AMMA received 1,714 euros for a psychological care service and accompanying caregivers and ASENFIFA obtained 1,500 euros for hydrotherapy treatments.
The new call approved at the recent Local Government Board, aims to continue in this line of attention to local associations, which stand out for carrying out activities of socio-health interest in the municipality, as established by the regulatory bases for granting aid for these Projects.
