Yesterday, Sunday October 29, the facilities of the Nautical Activities Center of Lo Pagán, hosted the first edition of the Raid 8puntocero and the IV Autonomic Regatta of Dragon Boat with about 180 athletes practicing the different disciplines.
8puntocero aims to diversify the local sports offer, in which various disciplines of land and sea were united.
Thus, the test combined eight segments of Kakay, cycling, running, orientation initiation and Paddle Surf.
To this first Raid, athletes from towns such as Cartagena, Jumilla, Cabo de Palos, La Union, Alamo Fountain, Pilar de la Horadada and San Pedro del Pinatar attended, covering the total number of seats offered by the Department of Sports.
The race began with a segment of Kayak Polo, from the Nautical Activities Center, after which the participants had to make a 750 meter walk from the beach of Villananitos to the Paseo de La Mota, where they exceeded sections 3 and 4 that they combine orientation and cycling, traveling 5,300 meters, between the Quintín and Calcetera Mills, and having to locate guidance markers during the journey.
Afterwards, the participants made another 750 meter walk to return to the Villananitos beach, where they climbed back into the kayak to reach the Nautical Activities Center, where they completed the test with a last leg of the race on foot. Puntica beach and a segment of paddle surfing.
A Raid 8puntocero that left very good taste and whose second edition was already requested by some of the participants.
At the same time, the IV Autonomic Regatta of Dragon Boat competed in the same facilities of the CAN with the presence of numerous teams in the different categories.
