This popular event, included in the II Mar Menor Cycling Cup, will be held next Sunday, November 27, in San Pedro del Pinatar, with a renovated urban circuit.
The Councilor for Sports of the City of San Pedro del Pinatar, Daniel Perez, and the president of the cycling club Pinatar, Demetrio Pedreño, presented today at a press conference the seventeenth edition of the popular race "El Capellán", a test with the that homage is paid to this club member who died in a traffic accident.
The test, which will be held this Sunday, November 27, starting at 10:00 am, will have a renewed circular urban circuit, with exit and finish on Avenida Doctor Guiroo Artero, in front of City Hall (Plaza Luis Molina).
In this regard, the councilor stressed that novelties will be included in the circuit so that it is more visible, running through more urban areas and thus favoring public attendance.
In addition, this test is included in the II Mar Menor Cup, which this year is completed with the races of Molina de Segura, Los Alcázares, San Pedro del Pinatar and San Javier.
Demetrio Pedreño pointed out that around 200 cyclists are expected in this race and he has encouraged all the fans to follow the race and approach the starting line "as there will be some surprise with the possible presence of outstanding professional riders" .
