The event will recognize the efforts of athletes, organizations and sponsors who are betting on this sport in the Region, a discipline that grows year after year both in number of tests and in athletes.
The Councilor for Sports of the City of San Pedro del Pinatar, Daniel Perez, the president of the Federation of Triathlon of Murcia, Diego Calvo, and the president of the club 30 7 40, Juan Amador Martínez Ferrer, presented today at the press the 2017 Triathlon Gala, which will be held on December 2 at the Porto Chico Restaurant, at the Villa de San Pedro Yacht Club.
At the presentation ceremony, athletes and representatives of official organizations and companies that will be recognized in this 2017 Triathlon Gala have also been present.
The mayor of Sports thanked the confidence of the Federation of Triathlon in the municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar and recalled the commitment of the City of Pinar del Rio for this sport, receiving more and more tests of this discipline, in collaboration with the federation and club itself of local athletics 30 7 40.
Thus, in 2018 a new edition of the Salinas Marine Triathlon will be held, included in the regional circuit, the second edition of the Popular Triathlon, aimed at bringing this sport closer to new fans and the regional Duathlon school final.
For his part, the director of the Federation highlighted the growth that year after year records the regional triathlon circuit, both in number of tests and athletes and the level that is reached in this discipline, as shown by the results of young Murcian triathletes at the national level.
As for the gala, said that they will distinguish the best of the regional circuit Triathlon, duathlon and aquatlon in all categories, in addition to the top 20 classified, in male and female, the megaliga, and the top 10 minors who have also completed this megaliga in 2017.
