The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, and the councilor of Culture, Silvia Egea, visited this week the painting classes taught at the Civic Center, directed by José Semitiel, with the collaboration of Vanessa Rojas.
The children's group is made up of 26 students, who learn the main techniques of painting and drawing, as well as initiation to sculpture.
While the 19 students of the group of adults receive training in different techniques such as drawing, oil painting, watercolor, acrylic, sculpture and engraving.
The ciezano artist José Semitiel Segura has a long teaching career at the Semitiel Art Center and teaching art courses at official and private centers in Barcelona, ​​Murcia, Girona, Cehegín, Bullas, and San Pedro del Pinatar, among other places.
In addition, his work has toured exhibition halls and fairs in different countries, with more than 50 individual exhibitions and participation in more than a hundred collective projects of different artistic disciplines.
He currently works in the sculptural group of his collection "El alma touched".
Since 2015, the young artist Vanessa Rojas works as an assistant professor of painting in San Pedro del Pinatar.
Among other works, highlights the creation of advertising posters, their participation in group exhibitions or their work as an illustrator.
