â—Ź The Ombudsman certifies that the Consistory still does not justify the prohibition of nudism and ensures that its practice "has not been any kind of problem" in the more than 20 years in which it has been carried out
â—Ź "The Government team must now rectify the Beach Ordinance and address and not disparage the institution and the groups that warned it was nonsense," says local spokesman Orange, José Luis Ros
Citizens has denounced today that the City of San Pedro del Pinatar "has ignored the Ombudsman and continues today without responding to his request to rule on our proposals to eliminate the prohibition of nudity of its Beach Ordinance."
The local spokesman, José Luis Ros, believes that the attitude of the PP Government team to the institution chaired by Francisco Fernández Marugán "is disloyal and above all, a lack of respect, because there is no greater contempt than indifference, the famous 'do not appreciate' our proverb.
And it becomes more painful when it is done with one of the most respected institutions of our democracy. "
Ros has made public today the response of the Ombudsman to the request of Ciudadanos San Pedro to review the Beach Ordinance, eliminating the prohibition of integral nudity in the absolute terms set out in Article 10;
and the request to give a voice to the naturist collectives in the cataloging of the beaches of the municipality in which nudism has traditionally been practiced "without apparently having any kind of problem", according to the communication from the Ombudsman.
For Citizens, the PP demonstrates with this attitude that governs with its back to the citizens.
"Not only did he turn a deaf ear to our warnings that the ordinance was a mistake, but he also did not rectify the national news this summer and the cover of newspapers because of the absurdity of his prohibitions.
Now we know that adds to all this contempt for the Ombudsman's requests for rectification, "lamented Ros, who considers that" this whole matter is a long chain of nonsense facilitated by a PP that uses its absolute majority to apply its moral vision to those who do not think like them.
In Ciudadanos we believe in individual freedom and we defend the coexistence between nude and non-nudist beaches ".
In the document, the body chaired by Fernández Marugán emphasizes that "the City Council at no time justifies the prohibition of nudism" and adds that "it has been practiced on the beaches of that municipality for more than 20 years, without apparently there has been no problem whatsoever. "
Faced with this strong claim, Citizens San Pedro has once again required the government team, first of all, "meet as soon as possible the requirements of the Ombudsman, and reconsider and rectify the Beach Ordinance to incorporate their suggestions, especially those referred to raise the absolute prohibition of nudism and to give participation to the naturist groups in the cataloging of the beaches where it has traditionally been practiced, as is the case of La Llana.
