The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has carried out an investigation to clarify a robbery with violence, resulting in minor injuries, committed in the urban area of ​​San Pedro del Pinatar, which has culminated with the identification, location and arrest of the alleged author of the criminal act.
The arrested was arrested in the act in the vicinity of a business, which had just left with stolen items in his possession, so, in addition, is credited with the alleged responsibility of theft crime.
The investigation began at the end of last year, when the Civil Guard became aware, through the complaint filed by the daughter of the victim, of robbery with violence committed by an individual on his progenitor when walking through the urban area of ​​the town of San Pedro del Pinatar.
The suspect approached the woman from behind, threw her to the ground and fled the place with her purse.
As a result of this action, the victim had to be treated on site by an ambulance that, after carrying out a first healthcare, moved it to the Los Arcos Hospital in San Javier.
The woman remained hospitalized and had to undergo surgery for serious injuries in one shoulder.
Citizen collaboration
Agents specializing in prevention of citizen security met with the latter, who could shed light on the investigation with the physical description of the suspect, which, in turn, coincided with that provided by other witnesses to the event.
This information allowed the agents to determine the profile of the individual, a male, middle-aged, whose physical similarities with those of a known delinquent in the area, caused the Benemérita to begin their search.
The Civil Guard established a series of police devices aimed at their location, which was known to frequently roam the municipality, although, since the pull was made, had disappeared from their usual environment.
Recently, these devices have been positive when the Benemérita has located the suspect on his way out of a commercial establishment in the municipality.
At the time of his identification, several perfume containers were seized, hidden among his clothing, which had just been removed from the interior of the store.
In that act, the agents have arrested in flagrante delicto a man, of Spanish nationality, neighbor of San Pedro del Pinatar and of 43 years, as presumed author of the crimes of robbery with violence, with result of serious injuries, and of theft.
The arrested with a bulky criminal record, the proceedings and seized effects have been made available to the Court of Instruction number 7 of San Javier (Murcia).
