Last night was held in the multipurpose room of the Baron de Benifayó Museum, the talk "History and uses of the Spanish cape, the mantilla and the Manila shawl".
The event, given by the Association of friends of the mantilla and the Spanish coat (ARAMCE) and organized by the City of San Pedro del Pinatar and the Association of friends of museums and ARAMCE, had the intervention of Carmen Gómez Martínez, President of the Association of friends of the mantilla and the Spanish coat;
Andrés Sánchez, secretary of ARAMCE;
and Federico San Nicolás Ruíz, presented by Francisco Javier Illán Vivas.
In spite of the cold night, dozens of people went to the Municipal Museum, some of them dressed in Spanish capes, shawls and even mantillas.
ARAMCE was founded in 2014, and its social objective is the promotion and use of the Spanish cape, the mantilla and the Manila shawl, within the historical customs and traditions of the Spanish and ecclesiastical protocol.
