The president of the Cabildo de Procesiones, Mariano Visedo, and members of the Beloved Disciple Association, this week held a meeting with ADAPT associates to explain the peculiarities of the Holy Week in Pinar del Rio, through explanatory videos, costumes, images and experiences of the own penitents.
The association of English speakers ADAPT, very active in the locality through different cultural, solidarity, educational and leisure initiatives;
He had shown his interest in approaching this traditional celebration and its origins in San Pedro del Pinatar, processions that are held in the town in an organized way since the 50s.
Through this meeting the ADAPT and Disciple Amado have committed to collaborate, so that the British neighbors of the locality will participate actively in the trials and preparation of the local Holy Week.
The Councilor for Citizen Participation, Fuensanta García, highlighted the open nature and motivation for the integration of the associations from Pinar del Rio and highlighted that the Hotel of Associations has among its priorities to motivate this type of approach.
